Managing multiple Instagram accounts is now available on this social network.
Starting this week, you can quickly and easily switch between multiple Instagram accounts with the touch of a button. This means users can maintain up to 5 accounts on the same device without having to sign out and sign back in again.
How to set up account switching:
“Go to your profile settings to add an additional account. From there, tap your username at the top of your profile to switch between accounts,” Instagram wrote in a blog post. “Once you have multiple accounts added, you’ll see your profile photo appear in places throughout the app so you can always tell which one you’re using at the moment.”
How do notifications work?
Like always, you can choose to get push notifications when someone likes, comments, or direct messages. However, Instagram explains that once you’ve added multiple Instagram accounts, you may get push notifications from any account that has them turned on. This depends on when you last logged in and the number of devices that are logged in to an account.
To manage these notifications, users can go their profile, go to Push Notification Settings in Settings and customize which notifications appear.
The new account switching feature is available with the recent 7.15 update for both iOS and Android. Another exciting step into the world of advertising for Instagram.
