Dive into the interview with Livia Dehn to learn what one multi-faceted, remote working life looks like at ICUC.
What’s your role and what do you do every day?
ICUC is part of the dentsu network of agencies. I work with cloud infrastructure, and I help with tech support when users have problems. I started at ICUC supporting its software ICUC Central, before moving into a global role where I get to work with other agencies and my favorite ICUC people. It’s a big family and I love having the opportunity to help where I can.
How did you first learn about ICUC?
I used to work at IBM in Brazil where me and my friend Silvia worked together. She started working at ICUC and I got interested in the job and later I started too – 8.5 years ago.
What do you like most about your job?
I really love the environment and flexibility. It’s just cool. Everyone is friendly and people help each other. The friends that I’ve made here have become good friends, and we’ve met in person around the world. There are tons of different nationalities, so we can meet up (pre-pandemic).
If you could change one thing about your job, what would it be?
Honestly? I wouldn’t change anything. Really, I wouldn’t. I really identify with the company, and I wouldn’t change anything. I’ve been here for almond 9 years, so I’m attached.
If you could tell your younger self some career advice, what would it be?
My advice to younger me, or new people here, is “Don’t let anything intimidate you, because challenges are important. There is no meaning in life without challenge.”
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I am sporty, so I always get a workout in. And I also love gaming.
What do you love about your life?
I love my family (including my dogs and my bunnies ????). I also love magic card games; I’m a collector. I have 9,000 cards! This has been many years in the making ????.
Three words to best describe you?
Caring. Adventurous. Determined.
Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us.
I’m a bad cooker (I’m blushing!) I struggle trying to cook nice thing.
