Now, more than ever, there is an important call-to-action to press forward and progress gender parity. With global activism for women’s equality fuelled by movements like #MeToo and #TimesUp, the global momentum is strong. Collectively we can all play a part and truly make a positive difference for women.
March 8th marks International Women’s Day, motivating and uniting friends, colleagues, and communities around the globe. This year, more than ever, I am so thrilled about this day ahead. I’m excited to see what companies have planned for their internal staff, to scroll through my social media feeds and discover what brands have planned for this day, and to celebrate with my fellow colleagues.
At ICUC Social, we are hosting an internal panel discussion featuring Jan Reischek – COO, Alisha Paul – VP, Culture and Development, myself – VP, Marketing, and Jenna Poste – VP, Customer Experience, moderated by Lindsay Goodine – Director, Culture and Development. This panel discussion will center around the themes of career development and leadership, with a Q&A session to follow. We are encouraging our staff – over 600 of us from around the globe – to participate in an inclusive conversation with strong women on our Leadership Team.
Our parent agency, Dentsu Aegis Network , is going all-in on International Women’s Day, too. For each tagged photo shared on social media with the hashtags #pressforprogress and #conquerthedivide, Dentsu Aegis will donate $5 and $1 for each like it receives. Donations will be going to Catalyst.org. Now that’s amazing.
It’s a new year and a new era for women in the workplace. I would love to learn about what your business is doing on March 8th – share with us at @ICUC , and be sure to use the hashtags #pressforprogress and #conquerthedivide.
